Meeting Recap 6/20/26

Attendees: Chris Cregan, Michael Eisenberg, Michael Feinberg, Jim Halloran, Alex Jordan, Dave Olson, Chad Willard, Haley Willard

Michael E, Michael F, Jim, and Alex played Eclipse (1st edition). Michael F’s Hydran Progress was able to turn some lucky early sector draws (including a supernova) into an juggernaut of both science and production with an intimidating fleet and a relatively easy win with 60 points followed by Alex’s Rho Indi Syndicate with 47.

Chris, Dave, Chad, and Haley played Nemesis: Retaliation where things got off to a rocky start and then didn’t get much better. Haley suffocated, Chad died to the alien queen (just before suffocating) and while Dave and Chris did manage to just barely complete the objective and get to the evacuation ship, Dave then died from infection, leaving Chris’s contractor as the sole victor.

Michael E, Michael F, Jim, and Alex played Space Base, where Michael F won by hitting 40 points, but Michael E would have won on the next turn from the you win card if he managed to roll a 1 on 2d6.

Chris and Dave played three rounds of Hive, with Chris winning the first two and Dave coming back for the third.

Chris, Michael E, Michael F, Jim, Alex, and Dave finished up with a few rounds of Shadow Hunters. In the first, Dave got a solo win as Brian by taking out Michael E. In the second, the two hunters (Dave and Michael F) won, but both neutrals (Michael E and Alex) satisfied their win conditions as well. In the final gave, Alex in attempting to satisfy his neutral win condition accidentally killed both shadows in a single round, denying him the win and handing it to the hunters (Dave and Jim), as well as neutral Chris who won with them.
