Meeting Recap 12/3/22

Games Played:

Brandan, Michael, Dave, and Karen started with Thurn and Taxis where Dave just inched out Karen for the win 26 to 24.

Chris, Brandan, Michael, and Dave played the Gates of Silverwood manor scenario of Mansions of Madness, 2nd edition. They were quite close to winning the scenario, but at the end with all four investigators both insane and wounded, Chris sacrificed Dave with a spell for an individual victory.

Chris, Michael, Amanda, Brandan, Dave, Karen, and Zoe finished up with a game of Mysterium with Dave as the ghost. Unfortunately they weren’t able to guess the final mystery.

Games Played

Chris, Michael, David, and Alex started off with a game of Nidavellir where Dave just edged out Alex 209 to 207.

David, Zoe, Ariana, and Gerald played a close game of Ticket to Ride: Europe where before the longest route bonus, Zoe had 100 points over Gerald at 97 and Dave at 96, but then she also secured the 10 points from longest route to seal the win.

Chris, Michael, and Alex taught Brandan Terraforming Mars in another close game where Michael won with 67, followed by Chris at 65, and Alex at 62.

David, Zoe, Ariana, and Gerald played Love Letter and were happy that they each won 3 rounds to their daughter’s 1 each.

Chris, Michael, Brandan, David, Zoe, and Gerald played Mysterium with Zoe controlling the ghost, unfortunately they were not able to get everyone to solve their mystery in time.

They then played a second round with Karen sitting in for David and Brandan taking over as the ghost. This time they did get everyone to solve their individual mysteries with a round to go and just barely identified the overall mystery to win.

Chris, Brandan, Karen, Zoe, and Gerald finished up with a game of Metro with Zoe winning and Brandan coming in second.

Games played in our first post-pandemic game day
Chris, Dave L., Zoe, Dave O., and Alex played Citadels. Chris and Alex ended the game in a tie, but Chris won on the tie-breaker.

Chris, Dave L., Zoe, Dave O., and Alex played The Resistance: Avalon. Chris and Zoe were the agents of Mordred and put up a good fight, but the forces of good won the day, thanks in part to the subtle leadership of Merlin (Dave L.).

Chris, Dave L., Zoe, Dave O., Gerald, and Alex played The Resistance: Avalon. Dave and Dave were the agents of Murdered and were successful in sowing chaos in the realm, despite the best efforts of Merlin (Alex).

Chris, Dave L., Zoe, Dave O., Gerald, and Alex played Mysterium. Chris was the ghost and was successful in providing the mediums with significant visions that could unveil his murderer.

Chris, Dave L., Zoe, Dave O., and Gerald played Mansions of Madness (the Dark Reflections scenario). Although 2 of the 5 investigators went insane, and one other investigator was on the brink of insanity for most of the game, the investigators successfully completed their mission.

Games Played

Chris, Michael, David, and Alex started with Burgle Bros, where they reasonably hardly got out with all of the loot.

Brandan then joined them for Dinosaur Island with all of the expansions. Chris won handily with 88 points, followed by Michael at 68.

They finished up with Mysterium, where Dave as the ghost barely got all of the players to the shared version, but they were able to correctly solve the murder.

Games Played

Michael, Chris G, Dave, Karen, Foster and Jasper started off with Between Two Cities where Chris G was between the top two cities and won with 61 points, followed by Karen with 60.

Dave, Greta, Foster, and Jasper played Kingdomino with Dave winning.

Dave, Zoe, Foster, and Jasper then played Burgle Bros., but were caught in the act.

Chris C, Michael, Chris G, and Ben played two games of Wingspan. Chris C was victorious in the first game with 84 points, just edging out Ben at 81. Michael won the second with 85 points and Ben again at section with 78.

Brandan, Dave, Foster, Jaspar, and Faran played Citadels. Foster won with Faran in second and the remaining three tied for third.

Chris C, Michael, Chris G, and Ben played a quick game of Railroad Ink, where Chris G was the best network planner with 56 points then Michael at 48.

Karen, Dave, Foster, and Jasper wrapped up with Castles of Mad King Ludwig, with Dave in the lead when they had to stop.

Chris C, Michael, Chris G, and Brandan stayed laid to complete Star Wars: Outer Rim. Chris was the best scoundrel, winning the game with 11 fame from completing the Kessel Run, one turn before Michael would have gotten his final fame from capturing a bounty.

Games Played

Michael, Elsa, David, and Ben started off with Kingdomino, which Ben’s 70 points from his giant forest easily won.

Michael, Scott, David, and Ben played Blokus, where Michael won with only 3 squares left.

Chris, Michael, Scott, David, and Ben attempted to survive Nemesis. Things went very well for them at the beginning of the game, but they quickly snowballed. Scott and David were both killed by the intruders while Chris and Ben took off in an escape pod. Michael had a bit more to do on the ship, which he wrapped up and then made it into the hibernation chamber for the jump home. The ship did successfully make it back to earth and Chris, Michael, and Ben all survived without infection and completed their goals to win.

Brandan and Karen played Ticket to Ride with Karen winning at 172 points.

Chris took on the role of the ghost for Michael, Scott, Brandan, David and Karen’s mystics in Mysterium where they successfully reconstructed the murder.

Chris, Michael, Brandan, David, and Karen finished up with a game of Unspeakable Words. Chris was the first to 100 points, but when insane doing it, leaving the victory for Karen.

Games Played

Michael, Dave, Zoe, and Alex started with a game of Burgle Bros., but lost miserably having only opened one safe.

Chris, Michael, Scott, Dave, and Alex played Century: Spice Road where Chris just edged out Alex 69 points to 68 to be the best spice merchant.

Chris, Michael, Scott, Brandan, Dave, and Alex played a round of Mysterium with Scott as the ghost but were unable to reconstruct the events. After Alex left, they played a second time with Dave as the ghost and this time were successful in solving the murder.

Chris, Michael, Brandan, and Dave finished up with a game of Photosynthesis. Michael grew the best trees, winning with 69 points followed by Chris with 66.

Eray, Eliott, Chris, and Ben teamed up against Michael, Scott, Dave, and Karen in two games of Space Cadets: Dice Duel with Chris’s team winning both.

Eray, Eliott, Dave, and Karen then played Castles of Mad Kind Ludwig where Dave won.

Chris, Michael, Scott, and Ben played Dinosaur Island. Both Ben and Chris achieved 75 points, but Ben just edged out Chris for the tiebreaker with $16 left over to Chris’s $15.

Dave and Brandan won a game of Burgle Bros.

Brandan was the ghost for a team of Chris, Michael, Scott, and Dave as psychics in Mysterium, but they were unable to reconstruct the events.

Chris took over as the ghost and Karen joined the psychics for a second game of Mysterium and this time the culprit was revealed.
