Meeting Recap 4/6/19

Steve Albert, Chris Cregan, Michael Feinberg, Scott Harris, David Landon, Karen Landon, Dave Olson, Alex Wright, and Elaine Wright

Games Played

Chris, Michael, Scott, Dave L, Karen, and Alex started with a game of Diamonds that Scott one with 43 points in a tie breaker of Michael.

Dave L, Karen, Dave O, and Alex played Photosynthesis, with Alex wining.

Steve, Chris, Michael, and Scott played Nemesis. Steve died on the ship, but everyone else survived and satisfied their victory condition.

Dave L, Karen, Dave O, Alex, and Elaine tried out the club’s new copy of Between Two Castles of Mad King Ludwig, where Alex again won.

Chris took on the roll of Mr. X in a game of Scotland Yard against Dave L, Karen and Steve.

Michael, Scott, Mike, and Alex finished up with a very low scoring game of Dominion that Alex won with only 12 points.

Games Played

Michael, Elsa, David, and Ben started off with Kingdomino, which Ben’s 70 points from his giant forest easily won.

Michael, Scott, David, and Ben played Blokus, where Michael won with only 3 squares left.

Chris, Michael, Scott, David, and Ben attempted to survive Nemesis. Things went very well for them at the beginning of the game, but they quickly snowballed. Scott and David were both killed by the intruders while Chris and Ben took off in an escape pod. Michael had a bit more to do on the ship, which he wrapped up and then made it into the hibernation chamber for the jump home. The ship did successfully make it back to earth and Chris, Michael, and Ben all survived without infection and completed their goals to win.

Brandan and Karen played Ticket to Ride with Karen winning at 172 points.

Chris took on the role of the ghost for Michael, Scott, Brandan, David and Karen’s mystics in Mysterium where they successfully reconstructed the murder.

Chris, Michael, Brandan, David, and Karen finished up with a game of Unspeakable Words. Chris was the first to 100 points, but when insane doing it, leaving the victory for Karen.

Games Played

Matt, Jim, Dave, Ben, and Wolfie started with Space Base, which Jim won.

Chris, Michael, Alex, and Emily played Clank! In! Space! Alex was the first to get a treasurer but was knocked out just before we made it back to the landing bay, soon followed by Chris still in the depths of the ship. Michael and Emily both did make it to the landing bay, but were knocked out in the same turn before escaping the ship. Michael won  on points, 73 to 70, but if one less of Emily’s cubes had been drawn in the last attack, she would have gotten to an escape pod and won handily.

Matt, Jim, Dave, Ben, and Wolfie moved on to Root.  Dave won.

Chris, Alex, and Emily played Dinosaur Island where Chris built the best (least deadly?) theme park.

Chris, Wolfie, Aylin, Jim and Dave played Mission Red Planet.  Chris won.

Aylin, Dave and Jim played King of New York twice.  Dave won both times.

Games Played

Michael, Dave, Zoe, and Alex started with a game of Burgle Bros., but lost miserably having only opened one safe.

Chris, Michael, Scott, Dave, and Alex played Century: Spice Road where Chris just edged out Alex 69 points to 68 to be the best spice merchant.

Chris, Michael, Scott, Brandan, Dave, and Alex played a round of Mysterium with Scott as the ghost but were unable to reconstruct the events. After Alex left, they played a second time with Dave as the ghost and this time were successful in solving the murder.

Chris, Michael, Brandan, and Dave finished up with a game of Photosynthesis. Michael grew the best trees, winning with 69 points followed by Chris with 66.

Games Played

Eray, Eliott, Chris, and Ben teamed up against Michael, Scott, Dave, and Karen in two games of Space Cadets: Dice Duel with Chris’s team winning both.

Eray, Eliott, Dave, and Karen then played Castles of Mad Kind Ludwig where Dave won.

Chris, Michael, Scott, and Ben played Dinosaur Island. Both Ben and Chris achieved 75 points, but Ben just edged out Chris for the tiebreaker with $16 left over to Chris’s $15.

Dave and Brandan won a game of Burgle Bros.

Brandan was the ghost for a team of Chris, Michael, Scott, and Dave as psychics in Mysterium, but they were unable to reconstruct the events.

Chris took over as the ghost and Karen joined the psychics for a second game of Mysterium and this time the culprit was revealed.

Chris, Michael, Jim, Alex, and Ben started with four hands of Coup, with Chris, Michael, Alex, and Ben winning one each.

Chris, Michael, Jim, Alex, and Ben played Isle of Skye, with Jim winning at 72 points.

Chris, Michael, Jim, and Alex played Dinosaur Island where Chris won.

Chris, Michael, and Alex finished up with another game of Isle of Skye, this time with Michael winning with 70 points just ahead of Chris at 66.

Games Played

Michael, Dave, Zoe, and Ben started with Burgle Bros. and successfully stole the three pieces of loot.

Eray, Michael, Brandan, Dave, and Ben played Galaxy Trucker, which Dave dominated with a score of 81, followed by Michael at 42 and Eray at 39.

Michael, Brandan, Dave, and Ben played Between Two Cities with the Capitals expansion and ended up in a four way tie with 81 points and all with a second city of 85 points. Brandan won the next tie breaker of having the most shops in his two cities.

Michael, Brandan, Dave/Zoe, and Ben finished up with another game of Burgle Bros., but this time failed badly, only having cracked one of the safes before being caught.

Games Played

Michael, Dave, Ben, and Alex started with a close game of Imhotep, that Alex won with 40 points, just edging out Michael at 38 and Ben at 37.

Chris, Michael, Dave, Ben, and Alex moved on to Century: Spice Road, with Chris winning handily with 59 points over Alex’s second place 51.

Chris, Michael, Dave, Ben, and Alex played Mountains of Madness where they got out with 9 artifacts and 3 injuries.

Chris, Zoe, and Alex won a game of Forbidden Desert.

Michael, Brandan, and Dave tried out Above and Below, which Michel won with 71 points from lots of adventuring.

Chris, Zoe, and Alex played Ticket to Ride: Europe, where Alex thought he had won, but then they remembered to give Chris his longest route points putting him over the top 128 to 126.

Michael, Brandan, and Dave finished up with Splendor, with Brandan winning.
